1/19: In Honor of Martin Luther King Day

Airing at 3:00PM and 7:00PM.

We rebroadcast a speech by Dr. King's friend and fellow civil rights activist, the late Congressman John R. Lewis. On November 5, 2001, Lewis, Congressman from Georgia, and civil rights icon, visited Concord Carlisle High School where he spoke to the entire student body and staff in a special assembly. In a packed gymnasium, just two months after the September 11 attack on the United States, Lewis spoke of his lifelong crusade for civil rights, justice and peace.

Fun Fact: While the name WIQH has no true meaning, some like to say it stands for "Why I Quit Highschool"
